Switch to Nation
Coming from another server?
Moving to Nation takes a few minutes. The launcher does the setup for you, asks before it changes anything, and lets you undo it.
What you need
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- Your own copy of the supported game build.
- A Nation account. Nation is in closed alpha, so downloading the launcher needs Alpha access.
How to move over
Close the other program
Quit the other server's program before you play, including from the system tray. If it is still running, the Nation launcher tells you.
Get the launcher
Download the Nation launcher from the Download page and check that its SHA-256 matches the one shown there. Only download Nation from playthenation.com.
Sign in and find your game
Sign in with your Nation account. The launcher looks for your game folder, or you can point it to the game yourself.
Finish online setup
The launcher asks for permission once to finish online setup. If another setup pointed your game somewhere else on this PC, Nation turns that off, and turns it back on if you remove Nation's setup.
Press PLAY
If your copy needs one game file updated to play online, Nation asks first and keeps your original next to it. If another setup left extra files in your game folder, Nation asks before moving them aside into a folder inside your game folder. It never deletes them.
Make your Nation player
Your current career player may not show up after the update. Your old save stays on this PC. Make your new player while you are connected to Nation: a player made offline does not carry over.
Changed your mind?
- Undo game setup, in the launcher's Settings, puts your original game file back and moves any files Nation set aside back where they were.
- Uninstalling Nation puts your original game file back too.
- Close the game first: nothing changes while the game is running.
